Litigation Legal AssistantLocation: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Base pay range$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yrAbout the RoleOur client, a respected law firm in Chicago, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support their busy litigation team. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and an opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation matters.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, file, and e-file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts.Assist attorneys with case management, including scheduling hearings, depositions, and trial dates.Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules.Coordinate discovery processes, including document collection and production.Draft correspondence and assist with preparation of exhibits and trial binders.Communicate with clients, courts, and vendors to facilitate case progress.Qualifications3+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal in a law firm setting.Strong proficiency with e‑filing systems and familiarity with court procedures.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Additional InformationPersonal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 paid holidays, and up to 6 weeks of paid parental leave.
