    Join a nationally-recognized law firm committed to excellence! We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Practice Assistant to support our Asbestos and Toxic Tort team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a premier law firm known for its collaborative culture, sophisticated client base, and dedication to professional development.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in Asbestos and Toxic Tort litigation and/or related transactions.
    • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery.
    • Manage case files and maintain detailed case calendars, including tracking deadlines and court dates.
    • Coordinate scheduling, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics.
    • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel with professionalism and discretion.
    • Assist with e-filing in state and federal courts and maintain proficiency with relevant court procedures.
    • Perform time entry, billing support, and expense report processing.
    • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive matters and case information.
     
    Qualifications:
    • Law firm experience required – candidates must have worked in a legal assistant, legal secretary, or similar support role within a law firm environment.
    • Experience in Asbestos and Toxic Tort litigation and/or transactions is required – familiarity with case progression, pleadings, and terminology specific to this area is essential.
    • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, court rules, and e-filing systems.
    • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Professional demeanor with a client-service mindset.
