Position OverviewThe Legal Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department with a primary focus on reporting, analytics, technology administration, and financial coordination. This role transforms legal matter, spend, and operational data into executive- and Board-ready presentations, reports, and dashboards that support informed decision-making across the organization.In this position, you'll work closely with the General Counsel, attorneys, finance partners, IT teams, outside counsel, and legal service providers to ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.This role also supports legal technology administration, vendor management, budgeting activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen Legal Department operations.What You'll Do
Develop executive- and Board-ready presentations, reports, dashboards, and analytics that support Legal Department goals and strategic decision-makingAnalyze legal matter, spend, and operational data to create meaningful metrics, forecasts, and performance reportingMaintain departmental reporting tools, dashboards, templates, and presentation materials to ensure consistency and efficiencyAdminister legal technology platforms, including contract lifecycle management, billing, document management, and records systemsPartner with attorneys, finance, IT, and business stakeholders to support reporting, system administration, and process improvement initiativesCoordinate invoice processing, budget tracking, spend management, and outside counsel billing activitiesManage relationships with outside law firms and legal service providers, including onboarding, billing coordination, and vendor administrationMaintain department information repositories, clause libraries, templates, and shared resourcesSupport compliance-related activities, departmental training, and recurring reporting cyclesIdentify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
3+ years of legal administrator experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or legal operations environmentAdvanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to build polished executive- and Board-level presentationsAdvanced Excel and data analysis skills, including experience developing reports, dashboards, metrics, and financial analysesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlinesExperience working with business systems and technology platforms, with the ability to learn new applications quicklyStrong financial acumen, including experience supporting budgets, invoice processing, or spend trackingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI or TableauExperience with legal billing systems, contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, or document management systemsExperience supporting cross-functional teams and business stakeholdersExperience with vendor management, forecasting, or budget administration
