Legacy Systems Programmer – IBM iSeries

Safar Staffing is seeking an experienced Legacy Systems Programmer specializing in IBM iSeries/AS400 environments.

We are particularly interested in senior professionals with extensive experience maintaining, enhancing, troubleshooting, and modernizing business-critical IBM i applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complex legacy IBM iSeries applications
  
• Develop and enhance RPG/RPGLE programs
  
• Maintain CL/CLLE scripts and processes
  
• Work with DB2 for i and SQL
  
• Analyze existing legacy code
  
• Troubleshoot complex production issues
  
• Support batch jobs, job queues, interfaces, and scheduled processing
  
• Develop integrations between legacy and modern systems
  
• Participate in legacy-system modernization initiatives
  
• Document applications, business logic, and technical processes
