Position description
The UCLA Undergraduate Education Initiatives unit seeks one 25% lecturer to teach in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 quarters in Academic Year 2026-27 for a lower division undergraduate course as part of the General Education UCLA Cluster Program.
This position includes team-teaching the lectures for Cluster M72, Sex: From Biology to Gendered Society, which examines the nature and meaning of sex and gender through the study of biology, psychology, anthropology, and social structure. The course engages students in active dialogue and debate to teach them to be fluent in interdisciplinary approaches involving multiple levels of analysis (micro-level, such as genes and hormones, to macro-level, such as social institutions and culture). This position will entail contributions to generation of writing assignments, exam questions, and grading of student submissions.

Required Qualifications:
\u25cf An earned doctorate from an accredited university
\u25cf College-level teaching experience, especially to a General Education population
\u25cf Knowledge and training/background in sex & gender in related fields, such as biology, psychology, anthropology, and gender studies
Preferred Qualifications:
\u25cf At least three years of college-level teaching experience
\u25cf Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\u25cf Must be capable of delivering high-quality instruction to a diverse student body
