    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Teach courses in the Dept. of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) including and not limited to CSD600-Research Methods.
    • Other scholarly duties as assigned.

    Assistant Professor Minimum Qualifications:

    • PhD or EdD degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from college or university of recognized standing, with major work in CSD. A PhD candidate who has completed all requirements of the degree except dissertation ("all but dissertation" or "ABD") are also eligible; however, if all degree requirements are not fulfilled within a two-year period, the contract of the individual will not be renewed.
    • Demonstrated experience and expertise in research.
    • Demonstrated ability as a teacher.
    • Poise and good address for meeting, collaborating, and conferring with others.
    • Demonstrated scholarly achievement.

    Associate Professor Minimum Qualifications:

    Same as Assistant Professor level, as well as:

    • A minimum of four years of full-time college or university teaching at the rank of assistant professor or equivalent, with evidence of increasing professional maturity.
    • Scholarly achievement judged competent and adequate for the rank in comparison with peers active in the same field at major research universities.
    • Continued evidence of participation in the scholarly and academic affairs of a university or other appropriate organization, or in an appropriate organization, or in an appropriate professional society or organization, or in other appropriate job-related service activities.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize assigned activities, including the supervision of work of assistants when appropriate.
    • Ability to service as a role model for students and junior colleagues.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience in working in a multicultural setting.
