    Job

    Supplemental

    Purpose:

    The

    Assistant

    Coach

    shall

    be

    a

    certified

    school

    employee

    who

    will

    adhere

    to

    all

    the

    Board

    of

    Education

    policies.

    The

    assistant

    coach

    shall

    have

    high

    morals

    and

    positive

    public

    relations,

    have

    a

    thorough

    knowledge

    of

    the

    sport

    and

    teaching

    fundamental

    skills,

    proven

    successful

    record

    of

    staff

    relations

    and

    coach/player

    relations,

    and

    be

    organized

    and

    responsible.

    The

    assistant

    coach

    will

    strive

    to

    teach

    the

    skills

    and

    rules

    of

    the

    sport

    while

    imparting

    important

    principles

    of

    good

    sportsmanship

    and

    positive

    representation

    of

    Lebanon

    High

    School.

    Responsibilities:

    Be

    responsible

    for

    creating

    a

    safe

    environment

    where

    student-athletes

    can

    grow

    as

    athletes

    and

    people.

    Ethically

    conduct

    oneself

    during

    contents

    and

    practices.

    Assist

    in

    holding

    tryouts

    and

    selecting

    participants.

    Assist

    in

    monitoring

    team

    behavior,

    locker

    room,

    training

    room,

    and

    overall

    team

    supervision

    and

    discipline.

    Be

    responsible

    for

    staying

    up

    to

    date

    on

    current

    schemes

    and

    techniques

    that

    keep

    players

    safe

    and

    allow

    them

    to

    succeed.

    Assist

    in

    the

    coordination

    and

    implementation

    of

    practice

    plans

    throughout

    the

    season.

    Be

    responsible

    for

    in-season

    scouting

    of

    future

    opponents.

    Assist

    in

    the

    coordination

    and

    implementation

    of

    off-season

    training.

    Be

    responsible

    for

    equipment

    distribution,

    storage,

    and

    collection.

    Assist

    in

    running

    social

    media

    accounts

    that

    reflect

    positively

    on

    the

    program

    and

    celebrate

    student-athletes

    achievements.

    Assist

    in

    the

    coordination

    and

    implementation

    of

    fundraising

    activities.

    Be

    responsible

    for

    the

    transportation

    of

    athletes

    and

    equipment

    to

    away

    contests.

    Assist

    in

    the

    coordination

    and

    implementation

    of

    emergency

    procedure

    plans.

    Assist

    with

    completing

    roster

    information.

    Assist

    in

    the

    distribution

    and

    collection

    of

    all

    required

    paperwork.

    Assist

    in

    the

    coordination

    and

    implementation

    of

    youth

    camps.

    Assist

    in

    the

    selection

    of

    athletes'

    post-season

    awards

    Perform

    other

    duties

    and

    responsibilities

    requested

    by

    the

    head

    coach,

    athletic

    director,

    and

    building

    administrators.

    Ensure

    the

    safety

    of

    students

    and

    staff.

    Carry

    out

    and

    enforce

    Board

    Policy.

    Serve

    for

    students.
