Leasing Manager, Real Estate - Lakeland

Knowledge of analytical techniques such as discounted cash flow analysis and comparing lease terms, lease term analysis, lease versus buy, and understanding the time value of money as well as the impact of missed opportunities. To efficiently work out of the office while traveling using mobile phone/laptop to meet with Tenants, Brokers and Prospective Tenants.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• At least two years Publix real estate experience or three years’ experience in real estate management or leadership
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Thorough understanding of legal terminology involving tenant leases, declarations, development orders and other documents. Understanding the meaning and intent of legal clauses.

• Weekly travel to shopping centers and meetings with potential and existing tenants and brokers. Must perform site visits and conduct meetings throughout the geographic areas in which Publix operates. Travel is required for meetings and industry conferences outside of our operating footprint.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays and/or evenings.
• To achieve the department’s goals and objectives, attend seminars and conferences and to complete tasks in a timely manner when workflow increases. The LM routinely makes business calls and sends business emails on mobile devices in the evenings and on weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a real estate or business-related field.
• Five years real estate and management experience with a background in leasing commercial real estate
• Knowledge of analytical techniques such as discounted cash flow analysis and comparing lease terms, lease term analysis, lease versus buy, and understanding the time value of money as well as the impact of missed opportunities.
• Extensive knowledge of general leasing principles and practices
• Extensive knowledge of fundamental real estate terminology, methods, processes, and overall industry
• Knowledge of construction terminology and architectural design
• Strong knowledge of all the Property Management processes and principles
• Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS)
• Real Estate License
• Certified Commercial Leasing Specialist (CCLS)
• Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
• Extensive knowledge of the Publix tenant lease form, exhibits, guarantee agreements, amendments, sign license agreements
• Knowledge of the Publix Mission Statement
