Job Summary:
The Leasing Agent – Assistant Community Manager is an onsite, multi-site, leasing-focused position responsible for driving leasing activity, supporting occupancy goals, and providing an exceptional experience for prospective and current residents. This role also provides administrative and operational support to the Community Manager, including applications, resident files, renewals, notices, reporting, move-ins/move-outs, and other day-to-day property needs.
The ideal candidate has strong multifamily leasing experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to balance leasing responsibilities with administrative support
Essential Functions: (Include but are not limited to):
- Leasing & Sales: Conduct property tours, follow up with prospects, process applications, prepare lease documentation, and help achieve occupancy and leasing goals.
- Resident Relations & Retention: Build positive relationships with residents, assist with questions and concerns, support renewals, and help create a positive resident experience.
- Administrative Support: Assist the Community Manager with resident files, notices, reporting, move-ins/move-outs, collections, deadlines, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Multi-Site Property Operations: Travel between assigned communities as needed and coordinate with onsite teams to help ensure apartments are ready for move-in and support the day-to-day operational needs of each property.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and follow Fair Housing requirements, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of recent multifamily property management experience, including strong leasing experience.
- Experience with applications, resident files, renewals, notices, reporting, move-ins/move-outs, and other property administration.
- Previous Assistant Community Manager experience preferred but not required.
- Strong leasing, sales, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience assisting with collections and delinquency follow-up preferred.
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi or similar systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work onsite and support the Community Manager and property team as needed.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays when required.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance, and reliable transportation required for travel between assigned properties.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently walk the community, including leasing offices, amenities, parking areas, and grounds.
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate multi-story buildings.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors with occasional exposure to varying weather conditions.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- This is a fully onsite position.
- Some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays may be required based on business needs.
