Job Description:(
The Lease Abstractor candidate will support the Lease Accounting and Lease Payment teams. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensure data integrity such that lease documents are interpreted, abstracted and entered into the system of record accurately
- Ongoing verification and abstraction of lease information and appropriate updating of the Lease Software, as needed
- Review and interpretation of OpEx adjustments, using good judgment for reasonability and approval requirements
- Assist in ongoing project work, including Lease Software migration and AI focused initiatives
This role reports to the Manager of the Places Lease Accounting team (Places Finance)
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to review, interpret and abstract legal real estate documents
- Proven track record of successfully completing challenging projects and managing multiple priorities
- Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills required
- Ability to multi-task and keep desk in order with competing tasks and priorities
- Proven financial, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Accounting background; Lease Accounting background is a plus
- Curiosity and/or experience with AI tools and initiatives
- Excel skills
- Tririga or other Lease Accounting software experience is a plus
- SAP or large-scale ERP background is a plus
Education / Experience:
BA or BS in accounting, Finance or equivalent
