Teaching Experience Preferred Experience with Inclusion Practices Preferred Experience in Math Preferred LOCATION: Delcastle Technical High School REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal JOB GOAL: Ensure coherence in students' educational programs by coordinating instruction, discussing student work, and sharing best practices with teachers, students, and parents. For Salary information click here PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work closely with academic and career teachers to develop and implement strategies that will foster success for special education students in general education classrooms.
2. Mentor a case load of students with special education needs, coaching their development of a work ethic, reinforcing skills taught by the general education teachers, facilitating their self-advocacy, and analyzing data to evaluate their achievement.
3. Collaborate with and provide support to general education teachers with special education students in class. Monitor special education student progress and provide support.
4. Manage a case load of special education students, including attending IEP meetings, gathering quarterly teachers' data on progress, and collaborating with parents.
5. Assist with the requisition of materials and technology for implementing the inclusion program.
6. Lead professional development workshops for staff when necessary.
7. Become acquainted with and adhere to the Student Handbook and District Policies.
8. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervising Assistant Principal.
