    Job Duties

    The Learning Facilitator will deliver engaging, high-quality historical education programs for student audiences at the Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. Using dialogic and inquiry based teaching methods, this position serves diverse student groups, and guests through structured tours and onsite programs.

    This position primarily delivers programs and provides guided tours to K-12 school groups with the majority of the work focusing on elementary age learners, and taking place during a typical school year (August-May). Most programs are scheduled Tuesday-Friday, and occasionally on weekends. While student groups are the primary focus, this team also serves adult learners and groups.

    Paid training begins on September 9th, 2026. 

    Minimum Qualifications

    Excellent oral and written communication skills
    Knowledge of or interest in 17th/18th century history and how it relates to today
    Knowledge of or interest in current educational methodologies
    Excellent customer service skills
    Enjoys working with a diverse population of adults and children
    Ability to learn and apply new information in a fast-paced environment
    Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
