Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) 2026-27 School Year

Salary: $65,835 to $98,033 (based negotiated contract) Benefits: Full-time staff are eligible for medical, prescription, and dental. Sick and personal days are included

based

upon

negotiated

contract.

Application Deadline: October 9, 2026 Position Summary The Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC) is a member of the Child Study Team who provides comprehensive

educational

evaluations,

consultation,

and

case

management

services

to

support

students

with

disabilities.

The

LDTC

collaborates

with

students,

families,

teachers,

administrators,

and

related

service

providers

to

identify

students'

learning

strengths

and

needs,

develop

and

monitor

Individualized

Education

Programs

(IEPs),

and

recommend

evidence-based

instructional

strategies

and

educational

placements.

Through

assessment,

consultation,

and

professional

collaboration,

the

LDTC

promotes

equitable

access

to

rigorous

instruction,

supports

student

achievement

and

inclusion,

and

ensures

compliance

with

federal

and

state

special

education

regulations

while

serving

as

a

resource

to school staff on effective practices for meeting the diverse learning needs of all students.. Review the Job Description. Qualifications

Valid

New

Jersey

Learning

Disabilities

Teacher-Consultant

(LDTC)

certification.

Knowledge

of

special

education

assessment,

eligibility

determination,

IEP

development,

and

case

management,

including

federal

and

state

laws

governing

special

education

services,

instructional

planning,

and

educational

programming

Strong

communication,

consultation,

and

organizational

skills,

with

the

ability

to

interpret

assessment

data,

prepare

comprehensive

reports,

maintain

confidential

records,

and

utilize

educational

technology

and

data

management

systems

to

support

student
