A day in this role
You walk the floor before the bell, scan KPIs, and gather your 8–12 operators for a crisp pre-shift huddle. Safety, quality, HR notes, today27s takt and output goals 2D2D everyone leaves clear. Through the day you coach, remove roadblocks, and keep standards visible: Hour-by-Hour boards updated, 5S audits completed, DuPont STOP observations logged, and work stacks aligned. When a systemic snag appears, you escalate promptly to the Group Leader, then sync with other Team Leads for a smooth handoff to the next shift. Throughout, you27re growing people27s capability while using SAP and Standard Work to keep production flowing.
Core responsibilities
- Onboard and train new team members; act as the primary point of contact for new additions.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings focused on safety, quality, HR updates, and production targets.
- Ensure safe work practices; verify use of proper PPE and obtain PPE when needed.
- Champion continuous improvement by surfacing, supporting, and implementing team ideas.
- Escalate production or systemic issues to the Group Leader in a timely manner.
- Maintain shift-to-shift communication with other Team Leads and Leaders.
- Update and manage KPIs and relevant area/zone metrics.
- Create, maintain, and audit Team Member Standard Work.
- Complete Hour by Hour Boards, 5S Audits, DuPont Stop Observations, and manage work stacks.
- Navigate conflict toward resolution with coaching support from Group and Area Leaders.
- Use SAP to support and execute manufacturing processes.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you bring
- Experience leading others in a work or volunteer setting.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (preferred).
- A people-first, servant-leadership mindset.
- Clear written and verbal communication; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical and screening requirements
- Standing long period, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending
- Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
- Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check

- 1st Shift: Monday 2D Thursday, 5:00 AM 2D 3:00 PM | Overtime (as needed): Friday, 5:00 AM 2D 1:00 PM (8 hours)
- 2nd Shift: Monday 2D Thursday, 3:00 PM 2D 1:00 AM | Overtime (as needed): Friday, 1:00 PM 2D 9:00 PM (8 hours)
- 3rd Shift: Monday 2D Thursday, 8:00 PM 2D 6:00 AM | Overtime (as needed): Friday, 8:00 PM 2D 4:00 AM (8 hours)
- Weekend Days: Friday 2D Sunday, 5:00 AM 2D 5:00 PM | Overtime (as needed): Monday 2D Thursday, 5:00 AM 2D 1:00 PM (8 hours)
- Weekend Nights: Friday 2D Sunday, 5:00 PM 2D 5:00 AM | Overtime (as needed): Monday 2D Thursday, 5:00 PM 2D 1:00 AM (8 hours)
