Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lean Engineer. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to apply foundational knowledge of Lean principles, process improvement, data analysis in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and overall performance. This is an excellent opportunity to develop practical experience while contributing to meaningful organizational improvements. Â Primary Duties: Continuous Improvement Support - Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company goals and Lean principles
- Support data collection and analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Participate in Lean and Six Sigma projects (e.g., 5S, Kaizen events, process mapping)
- Collaborate with team members to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Help document processes, standard work, and improvement activities
Project & Process Support - Assist in planning and executing improvement projects from start to finish
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Support change management efforts by helping communicate updates and gather feedback
- Contribute to benchmarking and best practice research
Quality & Collaboration - Work with quality teams to support product and process quality improvements
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on improvement metrics
- Collaborate with departments to identify cross-functional improvement opportunities
Additional Responsibilities - Support supervisors and team leads as needed
- Assist with training materials and documentation updates
- Perform other duties as assigned

 Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (required)
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing or process improvement (preferred)
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma concepts
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, or similar)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Ability to travel occasionally if needed
 Physical Requirements: - Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.)
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
