Lead Workday Consultant
Position Summary
The client is transitioning from Workday implementation into stabilization, hypercare, and ongoing operations. This role serves as the client's primary client-side Workday consultant, acting as a trusted extension of the client's internal team leading day-to-day advisory, configuration, and operational support while coordinating additional ConsultNet specialists as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the client's principal Workday point of contact and primary client advisor
- Lead day-to-day Workday consulting: issue assessment, configuration support, and work prioritization
- Support implementation close-out and knowledge transfer from the client's implementation partner
- Review outstanding implementation items and validate operational readiness
- Investigate and troubleshoot Workday functional and technical issues
- Analyze business requirements and recommend solution options and best practices
- Configure Workday and support security-related configuration and business process modifications
- Review and support payroll-related rule changes across US, UK, China, and Costa Rica
- Review quarterly Workday releases, assess feature impacts, and recommend adoption opportunities
- Provide strategic guidance on future enhancements and operational planning
- Provide advisory support for Workday integrations; escalate to a specialized integration consultant when development/modification work is required
- Coordinate additional ConsultNet resources (US and LATAM) when specialized expertise is needed
- Communicate regularly with client stakeholders and participate in monthly governance meetings (hours, work requests, budget utilization, upcoming priorities)

- Workday licensing support or vendor management; PM for new implementations
Required Experience
- Prior hands-on Workday HCM consulting experience, ideally spanning implementation and post-go-live support
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a client-facing primary/lead consultant with minimal oversight
- Experience across core Workday modules listed above; multi-country payroll exposure a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, configuration, and stakeholder communication skills
- Comfortable coordinating a distributed delivery team (US/LATAM) on an as-needed basis
