Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and motivated Lead Warehouse Associate for a family-owned manufacturing and distribution facility in Oklahoma City. This position supports daily warehouse operations while offering the opportunity to develop into a key leadership role within the department.

The company is looking for someone who takes initiative, stays productive without constant direction, and can become a trusted long-term member of the team. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse or material-handling experience, demonstrates strong leadership potential, and is willing to help train and support other associates.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience
• Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential strongly preferred
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to accurately count materials and verify quantities
• Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to identify and complete necessary tasks without constant supervision
• Ability to remain productive during slower periods
• Ability to lift and move at least 40 lbs
• Must limit personal cell phone use while working
• Must successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, including THC
• Local background check required; previous convictions may be considered

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day warehouse and material-handling operations
• Load, unload, stage, and organize roofing materials
• Operate a forklift to move and organize inventory
• Operate L-gun and slitter equipment as assigned
• Accurately count materials and verify inventory quantities
• Pull, stage, and prepare materials according to operational needs
• Maintain organized inventory and warehouse locations
• Help train new warehouse associates on procedures and assigned tasks
• Take initiative to identify work that needs to be completed
• Support efficient workflow throughout the warehouse
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company procedures and workplace safety requirements
• Perform additional warehouse and production duties as assigned

Leadership Responsibilities

This position is intended for someone who can develop into a trusted lead within warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse lead or team lead experience
• Forklift operating experience
• Roofing material or building-products experience
• Manufacturing or distribution experience
• Inventory and material-counting experience
• Experience training new warehouse employees
• Equipment operating experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Forklift Experience

Previous forklift experience is preferred; however, the company may be willing to train and certify the right candidate who demonstrates strong warehouse experience, reliability, and leadership potential.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move 40+ lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to safely handle roofing materials and warehouse inventory
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment when trained and authorized
• Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the day

Work Environment

• Family-owned manufacturing and distribution facility
• Hands-on warehouse environment involving roofing materials and industrial equipment
• Regular material handling, inventory organization, and forklift operation
