    This is a Lead role that will oversee department scheduling, time keeping, and also support the department by moving vehicles.

    Summary

    Responsible for assisting the manager with staffing issues, scheduling maintenance, department training, and orientation of new employees.

    Job Description

    Will provide information regarding circumstances related to work performance and department issues in a timely manner. Will ensure consistency of workload dissemination. Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. Assists in taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of Valet Services functions. Informs authorities of malfunctioning equipment. Will order department office supplies and maintain appropriate par level to assure staff's ability to perform their roles. Direct patients, family members, guests and visitors to various hospital departments, clinics, and other Sanford locations. Maintains and keeps working environment in reasonable order. Meets and greets customers, takes ownership of their vehicles, parks and secures vehicle and retrieves vehicles in a safe manner. Provides directions to customers, assists customers using handicapped areas and any other appropriate assistance. Expected to assist any healthcare staff when discharging patients, which may include opening vehicle doors and/or loading personal belongings into the vehicles.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    At least one year of formal training beyond high school, (examples include but are not limited to college, technical school, military training, etc.) or previous professional experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred. Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.

    Must have a current valid driver’s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
