    Lead the Work That Keeps Our Operation Moving

    Clemens Food Group is hiring a hands-on Lead Truck Wash Specialist to coordinate daily truck wash and sanitation operations at our pork processing facility.

    In this working-lead position, you will assign daily work, coach team members, inspect completed washes, and help ensure livestock trailers and transportation equipment are clean, sanitized, compliant, and ready when needed.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead daily work assignments and provide direction to Truck Wash Specialists.
    • Coordinate wash schedules to support the timely availability of clean trailers and vehicles.
    • Train, coach, and support employees, including assisting with new-hire onboarding.
    • Oversee the washing, disinfecting, and sanitizing of livestock trailers, transportation vehicles, and related equipment.
    • Inspect completed work and verify that equipment meets CFG sanitation and biosecurity requirements before release.
    • Monitor pressure washers, sanitation systems, chemical-dispensing equipment, and other wash equipment for safe and effective operation.
    • Promote safe work practices, including proper PPE use, chemical handling, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and confined-space awareness.
    • Maintain sanitation logs, inspection records, chemical-usage reports, productivity metrics, and other audit-ready documentation.
    • Monitor cleaning chemicals, sanitation supplies, and PPE inventory.
    • Identify equipment or facility issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.
    • Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, customer audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
    • Work alongside the team during peak periods or staffing shortages.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Two to three years of experience in sanitation, truck wash operations, transportation services, livestock operations, industrial cleaning, or a related field.
    • At least one year of experience as a lead, trainer, or team leader.
    • Working knowledge of sanitation practices and chemical-handling procedures.
    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • The ability to provide clear direction, hold employees accountable, and support team development.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to inspect completed work against established standards.
    • The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced operating environment.
    • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

    Preferred Experience

    • Pork processing, food manufacturing, or livestock transportation experience.
    • Knowledge of biosecurity, animal-welfare, and transportation-sanitation standards.
    • Environmental-compliance or wastewater-management experience.
    • Forklift certification or material-handling equipment experience.
    • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements

    This position works in an active pork-processing, transportation, and truck-wash environment. Team members may be exposed to water, cleaning chemicals, livestock trailers, wastewater systems, moisture, noise, and changing temperatures.

    Candidates must be able to:

    • Stand, walk, bend, climb, and remain active throughout the shift.
    • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Wear required PPE, including waterproof clothing, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, and respiratory protection when necessary.
    • Work overtime, weekends, holidays, or emergency-response coverage when required.
