The Learning Experience - Columbus Circle is expanding, and were looking for an experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to help launch and lead our new Toddler classroom.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early childhood educator who wants to take ownership of a classroom from the beginning. Youll help establish routines, create a welcoming learning environment, build relationships with new families, and develop a strong classroom culture alongside a supportive teaching team.
What Youll Do
Lead the opening and day-to-day operation of a new Toddler classroom
Create a safe, nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment
Implement The Learning Experiences proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Plan developmentally appropriate hands-on learning experiences
Encourage language, independence, movement, and social-emotional development
Establish consistent classroom routines and positive behavior guidance
Observe childrens development and support individual milestones
Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
Guide and collaborate with your Assistant Teacher
Maintain classroom documentation, organization, and safety standards
Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following education/experience pathways:
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, or
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or
High School Diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience
Previous toddler classroom experience is strongly preferred. Were looking for someone who is confident leading a classroom, understands toddler development, and brings patience, consistency, and enthusiasm to their work.
