This role combines hands-on trade craftsmanship with team leadership. As our Lead Technician / Job Foreman, you will serve as the primary point of contact on job sites—ensuring every project is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality while mentoring technicians and maintaining excellent customer relations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • On-Site Leadership: Lead, direct, and coordinate installation crews for custom glass, window, and door projects; manage daily sequencing and overall job site organization.
    • Shower Enclosures: Measure, handle, and perform precision installations of frameless, semi-frameless, and custom heavy glass shower enclosures.
    • Windows & Doors: Perform expert removal, replacement, installation, and full-scope repairs on vinyl, wood, fiberglass, and aluminum windows, patio doors, and entry doors.
    • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Perform full window and door diagnostics and repairs (sash replacements, hardware fixes, glass cut-outs, seal failures, and weatherization).
    • Quality & Safety Assurance: Inspect completed work for proper alignment, smooth operation, water tightness, and proper seal prior to customer sign-off.
    • Team Mentorship: Train, supervise, and mentor installers on trade techniques, safety protocols, and company quality standards.
    • Client Communication: Serve as the primary face of the company on-site—explaining the scope of work, answering client questions, and ensuring a 5-star customer experience.
    • Vehicle & Tool Management: Maintain, inspect, and safely operate company installation equipment, tools, and assigned company vehicle.
    • Documentation: Accurately complete job documentation, including work orders, material tracking, change orders, and time logs.
    Qualifications

    • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in glass, custom showers, and window/door installations, with at least 2 years in a lead, supervisory, or foreman capacity.
    • Core Technical Skills:

      • Demonstrated proficiency in custom shower glass measurement and installation.
    •
      • Expert knowledge of full window and door replacements, retrofits, and repairs.
    •
      • Strong working knowledge of flashing, waterproofing, caulking, and structural framing.
    •
    • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills with a track record of directing crews effectively and communicating professionally with homeowners.
    • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean, safe driving record (required for operating company vehicle).
    • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, safely handle heavy glass/window units, work on ladders/scaffolding, and work comfortably outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications or glazing experience are a strong plus.
    Compensation & Perks

    • Pay Rate: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and leadership capabilities).
    • Company Van Provided (for work travel and job site transportation).
    • Company Cell Phone provided.
    • Company Gas Card included for work travel.
