About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will serve as a high-level architect for our electrical power systems roadmap and product life-cycle. You will lead the exploration, development, and global growth of power systems and energy products, shepherding them from concept to launch. This role demands a unique blend of technical program management, visionary leadership, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization to ensure Google's data centers remain the most efficient and sustainable in the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefitsLearn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the Electrical Power Systems Energy product roadmap, aligning multi-year development goals with infrastructure needs. Drive the integration of AI/ML technologies to optimize internal product development processes.
  • Execute end-to-end cross-functional product development for power systems, managing the complete Product Life Cycle (PLC) from concept through global deployment and pilot validation.
  • Lead stakeholder across supply chain, construction, and hardware operations to establish streamlined deployment goals for electrical designs.
  • Craft and deliver high-nuance executive communications, including strategy whitepapers and executive leadership reviews, to secure alignment and funding for energy initiatives.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring that all power products meet stringent performance indicators and environmental sustainability goals, and mentor junior Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and engineering partners on best practices for technical program execution and influence within a changing, ambiguous environment.
