About the Role:Christios Childcare & Academy 2 Inc is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join their growing team in Romulus, MI! This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners while working in a nurturing and supportive childcare environment.
Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for assigned classroom
- Create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for children
- Supervise and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress and milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and classroom activities
- Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-managed classroom setting
Requirements:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in a lead teacher or childcare role required
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Valid Michigan childcare certifications or ability to obtain required credentials
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children
