Lead Teacher (Early Childhood Education)
Location: The Learning Experience – Jenison, MI
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Lead Teacher – Infant, Toddler, or Preschool Classrooms
The Learning Experience – Jenison is seeking a caring and dependable Lead Teacher to guide classrooms serving infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children. This role focuses on creating engaging learning environments where children build confidence, independence, and strong early learning foundations.
This position is ideal for educators who enjoy leading a classroom team and supporting children through hands-on learning experiences and structured daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom instruction and routines
- Implement developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency
- Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom progress and activities
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior childcare experience preferred
- Experience leading or supporting a classroom preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
