    A commercial and federal general contractor is hiring a Lead Superintendent to oversee projects throughout Virginia Beach, with a strong concentration at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek and NAS Oceana.

     

    This contractor has a 2.5-year backlog already secured within these locations, providing long-term stability and consistent local work.

     

    Project Profile

    • Federal and commercial construction projects
    • Active work at Little Creek and Oceana
    • Project sizes ranging from $100K–$8M
    • Mix of renovations, additions, and select ground-up work
    • No travel — work is 100% local to the VA Beach area

     

    Responsibilities

    • Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout
    • Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and site logistics
    • Enforce safety standards and quality control on all projects
    • Communicate directly with project managers, owners, and inspectors
    • Maintain project documentation, schedules, and daily reports
    • Take ownership of assigned projects and outcomes

     

    Ideal Background

    • Experience as a Superintendent on commercial or federal projects
    • Prior work on DoD, NAVFAC, or secured facilities preferred
    • Comfortable running multiple smaller projects or a single larger project
    • Strong leadership presence in the field with hands-on experience
    • Ability to pass background checks required for federal work
