Job DetailsWe are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Lead Superintendent to join our team in the multifamily construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all field operations, site safety, quality control, and schedule implementation, ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency. You will be the main point of contact for on-site coordination of all subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our company's success and growth while working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
**Responsibilities**
1. Oversee all aspects of the construction process, from planning to implementation.
2. Review and interpret project blueprints, specifications, and contracts to direct construction activities and procedures.
3. Ensure all construction is being performed to quality standards in compliance with design specifications, budget, and timeline.
4. Implement safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe job site at all times, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
5. Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and labor, ensuring that all work is carried out as planned.
6. Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
7. Monitor and manage project costs to ensure the project is completed within the budget.
8. Maintain daily log of construction project activity including any subcontractor efforts and manpower used.
9. Conduct quality control inspections and rectify any deficiencies before final product inspections.
10. Liaise with inspectors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are in line with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
**Qualifications**
1. Must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in a Superintendent role within the multifamily construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge and experience in blueprint reading, construction planning, safety management, risk management, and quality control.
3. Proven track record of successfully overseeing and completing multifamily construction projects.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage, influence, and communicate with diverse groups of people.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate.
6. Proficient in relevant construction software and technology.
7. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field is preferred.
10. Certifications in construction safety, risk management, or other related fields are a plus.
