Lead Superintendent

Fusco Personnel is seeking a Lead Superintendent to oversee field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects valued at $30M or larger in the Syracuse, NY area. This position directs trade contractors, owns the project schedule and jobsite logistics, enforces safety standards, and leads a team of Field Engineers and Superintendents to deliver high-quality projects from start to finish. Direct day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality work and adherence to the approved project schedule
Develop, document, and communicate field work plans and project changes
Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents, specifications, and drawings to proactively identify and resolve potential issues
Coordinate permitting activities and verify subcontractor compliance with required permits and approvals
Build credibility and trust with owners, trade contractors, unions, and other project partners
Serve as the primary field safety representative and enforce safety compliance across all trades
Lead contractor and subcontractor meetings on a regular basis
Create, manage, and update project schedules while implementing contingency and recovery plans when necessary
Communicate schedule status, project progress, and field changes to project teams and trade contractors
Plan, coordinate, and manage overall jobsite logistics and field operations
Develop and oversee the project quality plan in partnership with internal operations teams, and implement corrective actions as needed
Coordinate material deliveries and crew scheduling with project support teams
Maintain daily project reports and documentation using construction management software
Review and support scope of work development, participate in subcontractor buyout, and assist with Time & Materials tracking
Assist with general requirements financial forecasting
Partner with business development on pursuits, client deliverables, and relationship-building with clients and industry partners
Lead daily safety meetings, stretch and flex activities, huddles, and pre-task plan reviews
Train, mentor, and manage the workload and performance of direct reports, including Field Engineers and Superintendents
Communicate company and department strategy to direct reports while fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaged team environment
