• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Welder to oversee daily welding operations while performing high-quality structural welding in a busy fabrication facility in Sapulpa. This leadership position combines hands-on welding responsibilities with mentoring, quality control, and production oversight to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

The ideal candidate has extensive structural welding experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to producing exceptional workmanship while helping develop and support fellow welders.



Required Experience & Skills
• Proven experience performing structural welding
• Previous lead or supervisory welding experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of structural welding techniques, equipment, and safety standards
• Experience performing quality control inspections on completed welds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic



Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform structural welding according to engineering drawings, welding procedures, and customer specifications
• Lead and support welders on the production floor while promoting productivity and teamwork
• Conduct quality control inspections to verify weld integrity and compliance with company standards
• Train, mentor, and coach welding personnel on best practices, quality expectations, and safety procedures
• Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with supervisors and management to meet production schedules and project deadlines
• Assist with additional fabrication and leadership responsibilities as assigned



Preferred Qualifications
• AWS or equivalent welding certifications
• Previous experience in heavy fabrication or structural steel manufacturing
• Experience leading teams and improving production efficiency
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and welding quality standards



Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, heavy steel, heat, sparks, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environment

• Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication machinery, overhead cranes, heat, noise, and heavy steel materials
