Description

Our client is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to lead industrial facility projects supporting manufacturing operations, capital improvements, and facility expansions. This position is based in Green Bay, WI or Cincinnati, OH. Remote consideration may be available for qualified U.S.-based candidates who can travel as needed to support client projects, field work, and team collaboration.

Location: Green Bay, WI or Cincinnati, OH (Remote Considered)
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, negotiable based on experience, technical expertise, industry background, and overall qualifications.
Required: Active Professional Engineer (PE) License
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
  • Design industrial structures including platforms, catwalks, mezzanines, equipment supports, crane systems, monorails, and foundations.
  • Prepare structural calculations, specifications, construction documents, and engineering packages.
  • Evaluate existing buildings and structures for modifications, equipment installations, and facility expansions.
  • Serve as a technical advisor and primary client contact.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and labor estimates.
  • Mentor engineers and designers while leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Perform field investigations, site measurements, and construction support.
  • Utilize RISA and other structural analysis software to develop calculations and models.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, process, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus.
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Active PE license with the ability to serve as Engineer of Record.
  • Experience designing structures for industrial or manufacturing facilities.
  • Proven project leadership and client-facing experience.
  • Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with paper mills, converting, chemical processing, or heavy industrial facilities.
  • Construction support, shutdowns, facility upgrades, and equipment installation experience.
  • Revit and AutoCAD experience.
  • Illinois and/or California PE licensure or experience supporting projects within those jurisdictions
