Lead Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist.
The Lead Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist. will oversee daily accounts payable operations and cash disbursement activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing in a high-volume environment. The Lead Sr. AP Specialist is responsible for monitoring invoice processing, vendor payments, P-Card and expense management, vendor setup and verification, and disbursements reconciliations. This position plays a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, supporting month end close, and partnering with the Controller, or other internal stakeholders. The Lead Sr. AP Specialist will report to the Finance Manager. The Lead Sr. AP Specialist leads the AP team.
What you will be responsible for:
+ Ensure invoices are accurately processed and filed daily.
+ Generate and process weekly payment runs, this includes paper checks, ACH, and wire payments.
+ Perform monthly reconciliations related to cash and disbursement accounts.
+ Oversee and manage corporate P-Card activity, including transaction reviews, compliance, and documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for expense related questions
+ Manage new vendor setup and changes, including verification and required documentation
+ Support month-end close by ensuring AP transactions, accruals and reconciliations are completed timely and accurately.
+ Assist in developing new methods and practices to improve efficiency and maintain departmental production goals.

Qualifications:
What you will need to be successful in this role :
Education & Experience:
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college or equivalent years of experience is preferred.
+ 5 years of related experience and or training.
+ Aviation industry experience highly favored.
+ Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, comprehending, reading and writing the English language is mandatory.
