    JOB SUMMARY: TheLead Social Work providessupervisionand support for the social work team for behavioral health units in Methuen and Haverhill withinthe Center for Behavioral Medicine.Assumes responsibility for the coordination of social work services for CBM. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination of services with external agencies, provides training and clinical supervisiontoMasterslevel students andstaffsocial workers.Serves as a point of communication between clinicians and the ACNO and Nurse Manager about clinical needs and concerns.Provide education/consultation to other healthcare team members as needed.Assistsclinical staff in reviewing/triaging/manage cases andassistsin coordination forlowerlevels of care. Audits medical records and implements procedural changes to correct deficiencies. Interacts with peer positions in other public service agencies and acts as a representative on interdepartmental committees andmaintainscommunity liaisons with referral agencies. Interfaces withappropriate publicservice and hospital staff toassurea cohesive working relationship and to provide comprehensive social work services. Participate in regular staff meetingsand communicate with all members of the team as needed. Disseminateappropriate informationin a timely mannerandprovidescontinuous feedback to staff in the assigned service areas.Provideclinical guidance and support in developing interventions and supervision of team members. Teach and model clinical interventions, strength-based strategies and ensure services are culturally competent for persons served. EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE: Required: Mastersdegree in social workfrom an accredited school of social work. 3-5 years of clinical workexperience with a minimum of 1yearin a management/supervisory role. Previousexperience withpsychiatric/substance abuse population. Activeindependent license to practice social work in Massachusetts(LICSW). Case management skills KnowledgeofMicrosoftOffice Preferred: Experience on a behavioral health inpatient unit preferred. Meditechknowledge beneficial.
