LEAD SHIPPING & RECEIVING / INVENTORY CONTROL - 1ST SHIFT

Fairfield, OH (Cincinnati / Hamilton metro) | Full-time, direct hire

Schedule: 1st shift (exact hours confirmed at interview)

Pay: $25 - $29/hour depending on experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

An ISO 9001 registered precision metal stamping manufacturer serving the automotive, agricultural, appliance, HVAC, heavy truck and aerospace markets is adding a hands-on Lead for its Shipping & Receiving and Inventory Control team. This person owns the flow of material in and out of the plant, leads a small crew, and helps drive lean practices on the production floor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead, schedule and train a small team of shipping and receiving employees

- Prepare outbound shipments: picking, packing, labeling and staging to customer requirements

- Create and process Bills of Lading (BOL) and Advance Ship Notices (ASN)

- Support invoicing tied to outbound shipments as needed

- Receive, inspect and put away inbound material and components

- Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform cycle counts and reconciliations

- Design and implement a pull system (kanban) to supply the production floor

- Work with production leadership to manage priorities and keep lines supplied

- Keep the dock and warehouse organized, safe and audit-ready

WHAT YOU NEED

- Experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control in a manufacturing environment

- Prior lead or supervisory experience directing a shipping/receiving crew

- Hands-on experience with BOLs and ASNs (EDI / customer portal experience a plus)

- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and pull / kanban systems

- Strong inventory accuracy habits and comfort with ERP or inventory software

- Invoicing or billing exposure a plus

- Forklift experience preferred

- Able to prioritize in a fast-moving production setting and communicate across departments

WORK ENVIRONMENT
