Lead Sawyer Operator

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm
Pay Rate: $20+ based on experience

Job Responsibilities:
• Operate and lead sawmill cutting operations, including primary and secondary saws used in pallet
production
• Supervise and support all sawmill employees, ensuring proper training
• Schedule daily and weekly cutting operations based on pallet production needs
• Read and interpret production specifications to maximize lumber  
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs 
• Comply with company policies and safety guidelines 
• Identify workplace safety hazards 
• Assist team members in the yard and on the floor as needed 
• Special projects as assigned 

Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a sawyer in a sawmill or pallet manufacturing operation
• Strong working knowledge of sawmill equipment and lumber processing
• Experience in leading or training employees in a production environment
• Ability to manage production schedules and prioritize workload
• Understanding safety procedures related to sawmill and heavy equipment operations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and efficiency
• High degree of attention and detail required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work
environment 
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records 
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner 
• Maintain a clean & safe environment
