Job Description

Lead, Operations - Sales and Marketing Technology

Who You'll Work With

At Slalom, personal connection meets global scale. We are a fiercely human business and technology consulting company focused on helping people and organizations dream bigger, move faster, and build better tomorrows.

Slalom's Sales and Marketing Technology team owns and improves the technology ecosystem that enables our sales and marketing teams. We are hiring a Lead, Operations - Sales and Marketing Technology to help operate, support, and continuously improve the platforms and processes used across our global sales and marketing organization.

You will report to the Director, Operations - Sales and Marketing Technology and work alongside specialists in Salesforce, vendor management, marketing technology, and campaign operations. You will also partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, Business Operations, Procurement, Security, Data, and other enabling functions.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making technology work well for the people who depend on it. You will support campaign execution, platform provisioning and administration, data quality, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement across a broad sales and marketing technology portfolio. You do not need to be an expert in every platform-we value curiosity, attention to detail, strong operational instincts, and the ability to learn new tools quickly.

What You'll Do

Support campaign operations

  • Support the execution of marketingand salescampaigns across relevant marketing automation and campaign-management platforms.
  • Help configure campaign components, audiences, forms, workflows, lists, tracking, and related platform assets.
  • Perform campaign quality assurance and testing to help ensure campaigns are configured accurately before launch.
  • Support lead capture, qualification, routing, and campaign processes across marketing and sales platforms.
  • Troubleshoot campaign and operational issues, identify likely causes, and coordinate with teammates or technical partners when deeper expertise is required.
  • Help document and improve repeatable campaign processes, templates, checklists, and operating procedures.

Provision and administer sales and marketing platforms

  • Manage routine user provisioning, deprovisioning, access changes, permissions, and license assignments across sales and marketing technologies.
  • Perform day-to-day platform administration and configuration using supported administrative and low-code capabilities.
  • Maintain platform settings, user information, distribution lists, templates, fields, forms, workflows, and other operational configurations as appropriate.
  • Respond to platform support requests and help users resolve common access, configuration, and workflow issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of platform users, licenses, access, ownership, and administrative changes.
  • Support periodic user-access, license-utilization, and platform-adoption reviews.
  • Follow established security, governance, and change-management processes when making platform changes.

Help deliver platform improvements

  • Complete assigned backlog items and help keep work organized, documented, and moving through the delivery process.
  • Configure and test platform changes within established standards and guardrails.
  • Support user acceptance testing, defect resolution, release preparation, demonstrations, and post-release validation.
  • Identify dependencies, questions, risks, or unclear requirements early and bring them forward to the appropriate team members.
  • Create practical documentation for configurations, processes, workflows, releases, and recurring operational activities.

Improve data quality and operational consistency

  • Monitor and help resolve data-quality issues affecting lead management, campaign execution, seller workflows, reporting, automation, and platform usability.
  • Perform routine data cleanup, validation, reconciliation, and quality-control activities.
  • Help identify recurring operational issues and recommend ways to simplify or automate repetitive work.
  • Support lead-generation, lead-management, routing, campaign, and sales-process capabilities.
  • Follow established standards for data, naming conventions, platform configuration, documentation, and change management.
  • Help measure whether platform and process changes are producing their intended operational results.

Support a broad technology portfolio

  • Work across multiple sales and marketing platforms based on team priorities rather than remaining limited to a single application.
  • Learn unfamiliar platforms and develop enough proficiency to perform routine administration, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Help maintain platform inventories and documentation covering platform purpose, ownership, users, licenses, dependencies, and lifecycle status.
  • Gather usage, adoption, license, and capability information to support platform and vendor decisions.
  • Escalate complex technical, integration, security, or architecture questions to the appropriate internal or vendor experts.

Partner with users and stakeholders

  • Provide responsive, thoughtful support to sales and marketing users and help them navigate the tools and processes they use every day.
  • Communicate status, issues, changes, and next steps clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Participate in discovery sessions, sprint ceremonies, demonstrations, platform reviews, and other team activities.
  • Build productive working relationships across Sales, Marketing, IT, Operations, Data, and other partner teams.
  • Take ownership of assigned work, follow through on commitments, and proactively identify the next responsible action within established guardrails.
  • Bring questions and recommendations forward rather than waiting for perfect clarity.

What You'll Bring

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience-or an equivalent combination of experience-in marketing operations, campaign operations, sales operations, revenue operations, marketing technology, sales technology, digital marketing, business systems, or an adjacent field.
  • Hands-on experience working in at least one:sales, marketing, CRM, marketing automation, campaign-management, or related business platform.
  • Experience supporting campaign execution, platform administration, user provisioning, data management, or similar operational activities.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Adobe platforms is valuable, but deep expertise is not required.
  • An ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with campaign configuration, user access, platform settings, testing, and data.
  • Experience following documented processes while also recognizing opportunities to improve them.
  • Basic familiarity with requirements, user stories, testing, issue tracking, backlog management, or Agile delivery practices.
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work effectively with both business and technical colleagues.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented working style with curiosity, initiative, and sound judgment.

Especially helpful, but not required

  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/Pardot.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or Adobe Workfront.
  • Experience with marketing campaign setup, quality assurance, audience/list management, forms, lead routing, or marketing automation.
  • Experience administering SaaS applications, including user provisioning, permissions, and license management.
  • Experience with data cleanup, reporting, platform adoption, or operational metrics.
  • Experience working with ticketing, backlog, or work-management tools.
  • Experience in a complex, matrixed, global, or professional-services environment.

Technology Landscape

No candidate is expected to know every platform. We value hands-on experience with relevant technologies and, just as importantly, your ability to learn unfamiliar tools quickly. The portfolio may include:

  • Salesforce Sales Cloud, Data 360, and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/Pardot
  • Adobe Experience Manager and Workfront
  • Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Demandbase, and Jifflenow
  • Wistia, Canva, Sprout Social, Webex Events, AddEvent, and Figma
  • Google Analytics, Maps, reCAPTCHA, and Tag Manager; Semrush, Bitly, and Hotjar
  • CleanTalk, Hindenburg, Pa11y, Percy, BrowserStack, and OneTrust

What Success Looks Like

  • Marketing campaigns and recurring operational activities are executed accurately, consistently, and on time.
  • Users receive timely access to the platforms they need, and licenses and permissions are maintained accurately.
  • Routine platform administration is handled reliably and documented clearly.
  • Data-quality and operational issues are identified and resolved before they create larger downstream problems.
  • Well-defined requests move efficiently from intake through configuration, testing, release, and validation.
  • Documentation, processes, templates, and operational standards become easier for the broader team to use and maintain.
  • The individual develops proficiency across an increasing portion of the sales and marketing technology portfolio.
  • Sales, marketing, and operations stakeholders view the individual as a responsive and dependable partner who takes ownership and follows through.
  • The individual increasingly identifies opportunities to simplify, standardize, or automate recurring work and brings those recommendations to the team.
