Pay Range: Targeted salary $55,000 annually, based on experience

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel: Not required

Position Introduction:

The Lead Retirement Specialist is responsible for the administration and oversight of retirement benefits programs for active employees, retirees, beneficiaries, and future retirees. This position serves as a lead resource for retirement operations, providing guidance, training, and support to retirement staff while ensuring accurate and compliant retirement benefit administration. The role manages complex retirement cases, coordinates retirement counseling and education services, performs payroll and contribution audits, oversees retiree subsidy billing processes, and delivers exceptional customer service to employees and retirees. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of retirement programs and supporting retirement readiness across the University community.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor''s degree.
  • 3 years of experience in benefits administration, retirement administration, human resources, or a related field.

Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
