Terralume Signature Memory Care is a new, boutique community designed exclusively for individuals living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Located off Wayzata Boulevard in Minnetonka. The Lead Resident Experience Specialist is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and maintain each resident's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. In addition to direct resident care, this position serves as a shift lead, supporting the coordination of daily operations, promoting accountability, and ensuring a consistent, resident-centered experience across clinical care, dining, housekeeping, and life enrichment. They assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating Life Enrichment and Dimensions programming to optimize residents' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cognitive well-being. They provide exceptional dining room service, help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, and serve as a resource and coach to Resident Experience Specialists by fostering teamwork, modeling best practices, and collaborating with department leaders to ensure high-quality service and operational excellence.
This schedule includes;
- 80 hours every two weeks ; FullTime
- Day shift ; 6:30am-3:00pm
- Monday-Friday
- Weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transfers, dining assistance, and use of adaptive devices.
- Complete assigned resident services and care tasks according to service schedules.
- Assist with resident move-ins and ensure apartment readiness.
- Monitor and replenish supplies as needed.
- Support care conferences and communicate resident needs and service updates.
- Lead shift huddles and ensure effective communication between shifts.
- Recommend service plan adjustments based on resident acuity.
- Coordinate staffing coverage for breaks, absences, and on-call responsibilities.
- Train new team members and assist with onboarding and orientation.
- Provide health-related services as delegated by the Registered Nurse, including medication administration, glucose monitoring, vital signs, treatments, and documentation.
- Support and lead resident engagement, wellness, life enrichment, and dementia-focused programming.
- Communicate activity schedules, coordinate vendors, document participation, and identify residents needing additional engagement.
- Promote resident-centered dementia care through the Dimensions program and related best practices.
- Ensure activities, events, and wellness programs are prepared, communicated, and conducted on schedule.
- Support dining services by ensuring quality meal service, resident satisfaction, dietary accommodations, sanitation, and dining room readiness.
- Conduct dining room audits, maintain beverage and snack stations, and coach restaurant-style service standards.
- Communicate resident dining concerns to the Culinary Director.
- Complete daily operational checklists and monitor resident experience standards.
- Perform and oversee housekeeping duties in resident apartments and common areas, including cleaning, sanitation, safety compliance, and inventory management.
- Conduct environmental rounds and address immediate cleaning, maintenance, or safety concerns.
- Submit and track work orders and coordinate follow-up as needed.
- Ensure housekeeping schedules are completed and carts remain organized and stocked.
- Maintain high standards for first impressions, odor management, cleanliness, clutter reduction, and overall resident environment.
- Ensure service, activity, dining, and housekeeping standards are consistently met.
- Coordinate team workflows and staffing coverage to support quality resident care.
- Coach and develop team members through training, guidance, and role modeling.
- Foster resident engagement, wellness, and a positive community environment.
- Monitor operations and proactively address issues impacting resident satisfaction and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years previous experience in senior living field, i.e. caregiving, activities, serving, housekeeping
