    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities May Include:

    Container Repair

    • Lead the safe and efficient repair of damaged containers in line with approved repair standards.
    • Assess assets and determine appropriate repair or scrap decisions to maximise asset recovery and maintain quality standards.
    • Operate repair equipment and material handling equipment safely to support daily operations.
    • Maintain accurate repair, inventory, and scrap records to support operational control and reporting.

    Quality Control

    • Support and guide team members on repair techniques, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
    • Partner with Operations and Quality teams to resolve repair issues and improve process performance.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve repair quality, productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
    • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily
    • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
    • Maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the work area. 

    As a Lead Repair Operator, you are a critical function of our pooling operation. You will repair damaged containers to be put back into inventory to be utilized for our customers. This role will also entail operating a forklift when necessary to act on inventory management and support our team’s operation from a repair and scrap determination standpoint.

    Qualifications:

    Technical and maintenance expertise of relevant tools (ex. drill, drader gun, ratchet, hammer, screwdriver)

    Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

    Ability to direct Team members to ensure process efficiency

    Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures relevant to forklift operations as well as when utilizing power tools.

    Ability to transport containers that weigh 225lbs through use of a pallet jack

    Ability to drive a forklift while handling containers

    Duties:

    • Safety and Compliance
      • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating tools.
      • Maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the work area.
      • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
      • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
    • Repairing Containers
      • Containers and lids are repaired in accordance with our quality assurance specifications and then placed back into washable inventory
    • Documentation of Processes
      • Following Scrap or Repair, the container is documented into the appropriate database
    • Quality assurance support through partnership with QA Lead
      • Assisting the QA lead to complete collection inspections through forklift support and providing guidance on repairable/scrap containers.
      • Partnership through attending Quality meetings with the compliance team when necessary
    • Inventory Management
      • Awaiting Repair and Awaiting Teardown (or Scrap) container storage daily management
      • Supporting the shipment of Scrap Loads
      • Weekly Count of Non-SKU inventory items (container feet, bolts, gaskets, plastic injection welding material, etc..)
