    Description

    Summary of duties and responsibilities:

    Primary responsibility is to supervise Direct Support Professionals/Registered Behavior Technicians and ensure services are effectively implemented. Will assist behavior analyst to administer behavior reduction, intervention process planning, skill acquisition plans and evaluation of services. Follow all guidelines approved by the facility program design.

    Must be on duty at all times

    Implement resident treatment plans

    Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in facility, and community-based environments

    Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the resident individuals treatment plan

    Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals

    Maintain client confidentiality at all times

    Must manage and control the day-to-day operation of the facility and supervision of the residents.

    Maintain Continuing Education Trainings (CEUs)

    Serves as the facility manager for the shift.

    Ensure proper maintenance of the home vehicle.

    Schedule and plans group activities, special occasions, out of home activities and transportation.

    Documents (related forms), files and review all incident reports.

    Attends Administrator or Company meetings as requested.

    Works closely with the on duty RBTs to assure a coordinated effort in maximizing the development of resident skills.

    Support residents as necessary in acceptable behavior and other areas of training.

    Assist staff in preparing progress notes and data, collection and reviewing them daily for accuracy.

    Understand client residents program and oversee their implementation.

    Oversee the practice of consistent positive behavior management principles.

    Know each residents medical conditions and history.

    Work directly with doctor and other medical and health professionals

    Perform basic incidental treatment (i.e. Creams and lotions) as medically prescribed by a licensed professional.

    Responsible for medical documentation, storage and administration.

    Document and report to the Administrator all incidents when they occur.

    Act as a member of Interdisciplinary Team and give accurate input on clients performance and progress.

    Ensure open lines of communication with staff, resident, families and regulatory agencies.

    Budget management (i.e. food purchases, clients Personal and Incidental (P & I) funds, house supplies, etc.)

    Manage proper maintenance and rotation of all food and emergency supplies.

    Initiate, conduct and complete staffs performance evaluations.

    Other duties as specified by Administrator.

    Physical requirements/Working Area:

    Standing/Walking: Standing and walking is required for the majority of time spent in the Facility (4-8 hours).

    Sitting: Sit while charting or entering data into a computer laptop.

    Lifting: Regular lifting of medical supplies, medications, medical supplies, and patient charts, all weighing up to ten pounds is required. Possibly lifting consumer.

    Pushing/Pulling: Pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds is required when administering consumer therapy and care, as well as when pushing equipment such as oxygen tanks and monitors. Pushing is required at 3.5 pounds of pressure when administering CPR. Full manual dexterity of both upper extremities is required.

    Bending: Bending is required when administering patient care. One must be able to bend to touch the floor to remove environmental hazards.

    Reaching: Reaching above ones head is required when performing aspects of

    Squatting/Kneeling: Squatting or kneeling is required when operating medical equipment and performing aspects of patient care, such as CPR.

    Twisting: Twisting at the waist is required when bathing patients and performing other procedures.

    Speaking: Must be able to clearly speak English to communicate, assess, and educate Staff. Must communicate verbally with physicians and other professionals involved in patient care

    Minimum 1-year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities with a focus on behavioral services.

    Must be RBT Certified or be a Qualified Behavior Modification Professional upon hire.

    Shall successfully complete both segments of the competency-based training and passage of the competency test, prior to or within one year of employment at the Community Crisis Home(CCH).

    Must have completed DSP Year 1&2 training course and certification prior to working in home with individuals

    Must maintain current certification in First Aid, CPR and CPI.

    Must possess and present current criminal record clearance (Live Scan).

    Must have experience with consumers with a dual diagnosis within context of the Mental Health Court, Juvenile Court, and/or probation Department.

    Must have expertise in anger management, crisis management, leadership, and quality oversight.

    Must have a health screening as specified in Section 80065(g).

    Must have tuberculosis test documents as specified in Section 80065(g).

    The ability to oversee consumer medication management. Demonstrates a knowledge regarding and the implementation of governmental laws, regulations, policies, and procedural standards for home.

    Have the personal characteristics, physical energy and competence to provide care and supervision of individuals.

    Is able to maintain patience, poise and dignity in an emergency or crisis situation.

    Possesses a genuine interest in and concern for the intellectual disabled persons.

    Demonstrates a willingness and ability to comply with directions from direct supervisor.
