Lead QA Engineer - Dallas, Texas (Hybrid)

What You’ll Be Doing

• The Lead QA Engineer position is an integral part of the Product Group that builds science and technology applications that feed the analytical engines. You will lead a fun and agile QA team to ensure product quality, build automation test suites and help validate requirement specifications by working closely with product managers, business analysts and software engineers. You will be responsible for leading the regression as well as new feature testing through automation and manual testing processes every sprint to ensure that the software application suite meets company standards.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, reviewing test cases, tracking and reporting test coverage, and identifying whether the products are functional, reliable, and meet the end user’s expectations. As a QA Leader you’ll design and implement testing plans across our platforms, that are high quality, require hard real time constraints and are easy to operate and maintain. You will conduct regular one on one and performance reviews, in addition to both leading QA yourself and helping other team members lead their own projects.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using test automation tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Technologies: Selenium Web-driver test automation using python (preferred) or java
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved

What We Look For In You

• Undergraduate or master’s degree in in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• 8+ years of work experience as a QA Engineer
• 1+ years performing as a Lead QA Engineer
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum product development and support process using JIRA
• Significant experience of working in software development teams
• Extensive understanding of software QA methodologies and tools
• Ability to write clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with performance testing
• Relevant experience in agile software development, scrum methodologies & tools and processes using JIRA (e.g., epics and stories)
• Excellent multitasking and time management skill to manage stakeholders and to meet tight deadlines
• Solid experience with documentations and issue tracking tools – Jira, Confluence, Office 365, Microsoft Teams
