As a member of the FBM Avionics team in the FBM Program Integration directorate, you'll work on the team responsible for leading the FBM Age Management efforts for assessing the Trident II (D5) Flight System based on calendar life degradation and functional operation from initial manufacture to removal from service. This role is responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and technical scope of engineering evaluations related to age risks on the flight system assemblies.

This Role

This Project Engineer will be supporting the Avionics D5/LE team. The key responsibilities include:

• Performing Project Engineering duties for various age management initiatives
• Reviewing actuals, metrics, and schedule
• Identifying issues and deep diving to determine root cause and corrective action
• Proactive project management (early risk identification, deconflicting long-range schedule conflicts, and proper communication to stakeholders).
• Communication with suppliers & subcontract management teams to align schedule and cost with delivery dates.
• Supporting the Age Management D5/LE IPT lead by presenting status, risks, opportunities and long-range plans.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience with managing schedules, budget, and subcontracts deliverables.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management
• Understanding of project lifecycles & development programs
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups
• Proven ability to work successfully across functional groups and with internal and external customers
• Willing to go the extra mile to support program requirements and adapt easily to changing priorities.
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Degree from an accredited college

• CAM Certified
• Understanding of the D5/LE program and / or Special Test Equipment (STE) or Fleet/Flight Electrical Support Equipment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
