Job Description:

Lead Program Manager - Enterprise Technology Transformation (Remote, 6-Month Contract)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Program Manager to oversee a large-scale enterprise technology transformation initiative within a complex, highly regulated environment.

This 6-month contract opportunity is fully remote and will focus on leading integrated planning, governance, transition management, stakeholder coordination, and implementation activities spanning multiple teams, vendors, and business functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring strategic objectives are translated into executable plans and successfully delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Program Planning & Delivery

  • Develop and maintain integrated transformation roadmaps, implementation plans, and milestone schedules.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable workplans, deliverables, and implementation activities.
  • Identify critical-path activities, dependencies, risks, constraints, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple initiatives, projects, and teams.

Transition & Implementation Management

  • Lead service transition planning and implementation readiness activities.
  • Develop transition frameworks, readiness criteria, and implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate implementation efforts across internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Monitor progress, address barriers, and ensure continuity of service throughout the transition.

Governance & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Establish and maintain governance, reporting, and planning processes across multiple workstreams.
  • Align technical, operational, procurement, financial, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate resolution of interdependencies, risks, and competing priorities.
  • Ensure decisions, deliverables, and timelines remain aligned across all participating groups.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop executive dashboards, status reports, briefing notes, and presentation materials.
  • Support steering committees and governance forums with decision-making information and recommendations.
  • Escalate key risks, issues, and decisions requiring executive direction.
  • Communicate program progress effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading large-scale enterprise technology transformation, sourcing, transition, or service modernization programs.

  • Demonstrated success developing and managing complex program roadmaps, implementation plans, governance frameworks, and executive reporting processes.

  • Experience leading large, multi-stakeholder initiatives involving procurement, outsourcing, insourcing, managed services, or service transitions.

  • Strong knowledge of program management disciplines, including:

  • Dependency Management

  • Risk Management

  • Change Management

  • Implementation Planning

  • Experience coordinating technical, operational, procurement, commercial, financial, and executive stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within healthcare, public sector, or other highly regulated environments.

  • Knowledge of Digital Workplace Services, including:

  • IT Service Management (ITSM)

  • Service Desk Operations

  • Endpoint Management

  • Asset Management

  • Device Lifecycle Management

  • Technology Refresh Programs

  • Information Security Services

  • PMP, PgMP, ITIL, Prosci, or equivalent professional certification.

  • Experience supporting executive governance boards, steering committees, and senior leadership forums.
