Lead Production Operator — Urgently hiring in Eugene!
Job Title: Lead Production Operator
Pay: $22.00/hour to start; $24.00/hour after fully trained (approximately 90–120 days)
Future Night Shift Differential: Additional $1.00–$1.50/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–2:00 PM initially (end times may vary based on production schedule, could end between 1:30PM–3:30PM). Once fully trained, transition to a 4-day night shift, approximately 7:00 PM–5:30 AM. Schedule is expected to be either Sunday–Wednesday or Monday–Thursday.

As a Lead Machine and Production Operator, you'll start on the day shift learning the ropes before stepping into a lead position on a new overnight shift, helping shape production success.

What You'll Do
As a Lead Production Operator, you will be responsible for:
• Learning the ins and outs of production, including equipment, processes, and food safety protocols during initial day-shift training
• Supporting and guiding production team members to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently
• Assisting with the preparation of cardboard boxes and packaging materials for outbound shipments
• Operating an electric pallet jack or sit-down forklift (training provided) to load product pallets onto trucks for shipment
• Monitoring workflow and ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently
• Keeping the production line, tools, and workspace clean and organized to meet sanitation standards
• Breaking down and cleaning machinery through daily soap scrubbing and rinsing processes
• Maintaining cleanliness of floors through daily washing and periodic deep cleaning with bleach sanitation
• Adhering to GMPs, Food Safety Regulations, and safety procedures to uphold quality and safety standards
• Eventually taking on leadership responsibilities for the new 4-day overnight production shift

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
• Prior experience in production, manufacturing, machine operation, or food production
• Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience (a plus)
• Strong leadership qualities and a positive example for coworkers
• A solid work ethic and a can-do attitude, with a team-oriented mindset
• Quick learner of new equipment and processes
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to GMPs and Food Safety regulations
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to receive forklift training for loading trucks (previous forklift experience is a plus but not required)
• Enthusiasm to transition into a 4-day overnight shift after training

Location & Schedule
