Who We Are:

Wayfair believes everyone should live in a home they love. Through technology and innovation, we make it possible for shoppers to quickly & easily find and purchase exactly what they want from a selection of more than 14 million items across home furnishings, décor, home improvement, housewares, and more.

Our Product Design team partners closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and Business leaders across Wayfair to ensure we're building technology that solves important customer problems in elegant, scalable, and measurable ways–across all platforms, stores, and geographies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Design Strategy: Drive the UX vision for end-to-end Financing & Pay experiences across app, mobile, and web. Own the "why" behind design decisions, using insights to align affordability features with broader customer and business goals.

  • Drive Hands-On Execution: Simplify complex Checkout flows, design seamless digital wallet integrations, and build habit-forming financial and payment experiences.

  • Collaborate Strategically: Partner with internal and external cross-functional leads to meet requirements, shape roadmaps, and ensure scalable, technically feasible solutions.

  • Champion Experimentation: Navigate ambiguous problem spaces using data, user research, and rapid iteration to test and launch nuanced user flows.

  • Elevate The Team & Quality: Mentor junior designers, foster an inclusive culture, and uphold a rigorous bar for efficient design processes, accessibility, visual polish, and developer handoff.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of Product Design experience with a portfolio or case studies demonstrating systems-level thinking, strong craft, and business impact in ambiguous problem spaces.

  • Deep fluency in Figma, rapid prototyping, and design systems practices.

  • Experience with large-scale consumer products, ideally within e-commerce, FinTech, and/or Checkout & Payment flows.

  • Strong communication skills to present work, back design decisions, and collaborate with partners effectively.

  • A data-driven mindset–comfortable using A/B testing and user research to validate solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • A track record of elevating team craft by mentoring other designers, maintaining rigorous documentation, and actively leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or equivalent practical experience.
