About the Role:Ivywood Academy in Stockbridge, GA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Preschool Teacher to inspire young minds and create a warm, engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities:- Plan and implement age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned lesson plans for preschool-aged children
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through play
- Observe and assess child development milestones and maintain accurate student records
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards
- Collaborate with academy staff to support whole-child development across all learning domains
Requirements:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a lead preschool or early childhood classroom setting
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood curriculum frameworks
- Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
