    Job Summary

    Stepping Stones Child Academy is seeking a dedicated, patient, and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska. In this role, you will create a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment where children ages 3 to 5 can thrive. You will design engaging educational experiences, build trusting relationships with families, and collaborate with a supportive team of professionals to promote excellent early childhood outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute daily lessons for children ages 3 to 5 across all developmental domains, including social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.
    • Observe, document, and assess each child's learning, growth, and development to tailor instruction and track milestones.
    • Maintain effective classroom and behavior management, utilizing positive guidance techniques to foster a respectful and orderly environment.
    • Establish and maintain close, trusting relationships with families through regular and open communication regarding their child's progress.
    • Collaborate with co-workers, management, and outside service providers to support the diverse needs of all children and promote positive child outcomes.
    • Ensure the classroom remains a safe, clean, and inspiring environment conducive to learning and exploration.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Experience working with children ages 3 to 5 in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
    • Full-time availability to meet the scheduling needs of the academy.
    • Reliable transportation to ensure consistent and timely attendance.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • High level of patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with young children.
    • Current CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
