Lead Preschool Teacher

This is a position that works 9:30a -6:30p- shift, Monday – Friday. The pay is $15 -16.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications with incentive pay. The position is onsite at our center located:398 Douglas Avenue, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32714

The Preschool Teacher works to create engaging developmental activities, implements curriculum that prepares children for school, and enhances their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills.  The Preschool Teacher serves as a model and mentor.  In this role you’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children.

What You’ll Do:

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum for children preparing for primary school kindergarten by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards while making lesson plans that are also sensory rich
• Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and support their social, cognitive, and emotional growth, while creating a thoughtful and creative program tailored for preschoolers.
• Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement while following all facility policies and state regulations 
• Encourage children to develop language skills, a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring and self-regulation while also encouraging independent feeding and self-help skills
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

What We Need from You:

• High school Diploma and/or degree in related field of study required
• FL DCF 45 hours Required with willingness to obtain VPK Endorsements and a CDA

• Must clear a full level II DCF background check
• At least 2 year of professional early childhood training/experience 
• CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification completion within 30 days of employment
• Fluent in both English and Spanish is a Plus
