About the Role:
Little Folks Daycare in Minneapolis, MN is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead PreK Teacher to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a warm, supportive environment.



Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum for PreK-aged children
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Monitor and document children's developmental progress and milestones
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
  • Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and organization
  • Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing regulations and safety standards
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to pass a background check per Minnesota childcare licensing requirements
  • Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
