About the Role:Little Folks Daycare in Minneapolis, MN is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead PreK Teacher to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a warm, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:- Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum for PreK-aged children
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress and milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and organization
- Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing regulations and safety standards
Requirements:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check per Minnesota childcare licensing requirements
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
