    As a Lead Planning Coordinator, you will execute daily planning and batching of customer orders in support of customer needs. This position serves as a central coordination point for operational execution, maintaining reporting, communicating order summaries and priorities, researching issues that prevent product allocation, and recommending practical solutions that enable efficient workflow across the building. The role is highly analytical, system-driven, and communication focused, with emphasis on planning, WMS accuracy, automation monitoring, and real-time issue resolution rather than direct people leadership.

    Main Position Description

    • Execute daily planning, batching, and release of guest orders based on volume, trailer priorities, service commitments, and available labor.

    • Create, update, and communicate order summary reports and operational status updates for each department.

    • Monitor WMS activity and support system accuracy by reviewing order allocation, order wave release, inventory movement, and exception queues.

    • Partner with Inventory Control to research vendor and customer issues that prevent product allocation or delay order fulfillment.

    • Monitor automation and warehouse flow systems, identify interruptions, and communicate concerns quickly to the appropriate operational partners.

    • Support inbound, outbound, inventory, order processing, and customer service teams by communicating priorities, delays, exceptions, and execution updates.

    • Problem-solve unforeseen issues, recommend solutions, and help maintain effective workflows in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.

    • Verify order accuracy in the WMS and help ensure system activity aligns with physical operations.

    • Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment by meeting or exceeding SCLS corporate safety goals.

    • Follow direction from leadership and support inter-departmental projects as assigned.

    • Ensure exceptional customer service by supporting key performance indicators tied to throughput, accuracy, flow, and service expectations.

    • Solicit feedback and adjust actions as appropriate to improve company processes and support high-quality, cost-effective logistics services.

    • Promote constant and measurable improvement and support SCLS continuous improvement culture.

    • Communicate SCLS goals, expectations, areas for improvement, and successes clearly and professionally across teams.

    • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • High school diploma required; technical school, college coursework, or degree preferred.

    • Previous Production Control, planning, inventory, WMS, fulfillment, or logistics experience strongly preferred.

    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify issues, problems, and opportunities.

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to share clear information across operations, inventory, and customer service functions.

    • Strong reasoning, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.

    • PC skills including Microsoft Office, especially Excel, along with internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications.

    • Ability to develop collaborative relationships by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others’ efforts.

    • Ability to become highly proficient with WMS platforms such as Korber / HighJump, Softeon, or similar systems.

    • Comfort working in system-driven operations that may include conveyor, sortation, automation, bots, or other warehouse flow systems.
