About Your Role:

As a Lead Payroll Associate at Dollar Tree's corporate office, you'll be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the timely and accurate pay processing operations of a multi-state payroll department. You'll assist in training junior payroll associates and provide support with specialized payroll areas. You'll perform duties of Payroll Supervisor in his/her absence. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Accurately processes all facets of payroll for management companies and assists with store processing including time adjustments, entries, bonus and special payments within required timeframes

• Processes weekly and biweekly payroll to include run sheet activity, transmission of payroll files to ADP and banking institutions ensuring validation and accuracy through utilization of queries

• Provides support and assists in training of more junior payroll associates

• Provides support to garnishment and tax specialty areas

• Assist the Payroll Supervisor and Manager with special projects

SECONDARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Any other tasks the associate might perform during his/her work schedule.

• Processes employment verifications when necessary

• Provides documentation/research on payroll data when required

• Processes direct deposit entries for employees

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• Multi-state payroll processing experience

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Strong organizational skills

• 3-5 years payroll experience

• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly

• Knowledge of Microsoft office products

Preferred Requirements:

• Payroll certification (CPP or FPC)

Start Rate = $55,000 to $64,500 based on experience plus 5% bonus
