Welcome to Bosch. The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 500 full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 skus. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S .     The Lead Packaging Operator ensures RSB packaging equipment and processes run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all work instructions. This role serves as the primary technical resource, supporting machine setup, parameter adjustments, and process flow while working in an assigned position and floating as needed.

    Primary Duties and Accountabilities

    • Ensure machines are properly set up with correct tooling, materials, and recipes before or during production.
    • Work in assigned position while floating to support all packaging areas as needed.
    • Ensure completion of First Piece and Last Piece inspections and maintain product quality.
    • Adjust and optimize machine parameters to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
    • Communicate machine status, issues, and corrective actions clearly to team members
    • Work in assigned position while floating to support all packaging areas as needed.
    • Ensure safe operation of equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area.

    Strong understanding of packaging equipment (Algus, RF, Hang Tag, Tube, Shrink Wrap, Label Process)

    Ability to adjust machine parameters and optimize performance

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

    Effective communication and leadership on the floor

    Knowledge of FIFO, quality checks, and work standards
